You feel different emotions all the time. You feel happy, sad, worried, satisfied, curious, hurt, angry and so on.

While you can always feel something, you can’t always express what you feel.

There are many situations where you don’t show what you feel or you just try to bury that emotion inside yourself because you don’t want to process it, thinking that it will all go away.

As Dr. Bradley Nelson shows, these emotions don’t disappear. Although you may not feel them anymore, they remain trapped in your body.

Trapped emotions are balls of energy that affect the energy balance of your body and they can cause numerous problems on long term.

The Heart Wall

In order to deal with these emotions, most of the people build a Heart Wall. Even if you don’t know the concept, for sure you will recognize it; you build a wall around your heart to protect it from further hurting.  There you keep all the emotions that you don’t want to feel or process. You keep there the disappointment that you felt towards a loved one but didn’t show it, you keep the fear that something irrational will happen and even all the anger you felt when you got your heart broken.

We all have a jar with emotions. While the Heart Wall might be effective on short term when we don’t have other way to control our emotions, it can be extremely damaging on long term. That is why it is important to take it down, layer by layer, and allow ourselves to embrace the emotions that we locked there.

By analyzing what symptoms you experience, you can have a brief idea of what emotions you need to release and you can find the situation that caused them.

How can you know if it’s a trapped emotion and not a normal physical cause? Well, you ask your body.

Yes, as strange as it might seem at first, your body will give you all the answers. Using applied kinesiology you can uncover the secrets of your body:

  • stand on your feet
  • focus on your pain
  • ask yourself if there is a trapped emotion that is causing your symptoms
  • let your body move slightly forward or backwards.

You guessed it, forward means a “Yes!” and backwards means a “No”.

It is possible to have a false negative answer, simply because your Heart Wall is still standing tall. However, with techniques that Dr. Nelson explains in his book, Emotion Code, you can learn how to find out not only the causes of your pain, but also how to heal not only the symptoms, but the root cause.

Emotions need to be brought back to the conscious in order to be released.
